At our Neuro Arts & Breathwork workshop, we create space for exactly that: a chance to reset, breathe, and connect with your brain’s natural ability to restore itself.
This unique class blends creative expression and mindful breathwork to regulate the nervous system, reduce stress, and help you reconnect with yourself in a meaningful, playful way.
🧠 Why Art Matters for the Brain
Engaging in art isn’t just a hobby—it’s a proven way to activate areas of the brain responsible for problem-solving, emotional regulation, and memory. When we work with our hands—drawing, sculpting, coloring—our brains shift from survival mode into a state of calm curiosity and flow.
In this workshop, you’ll literally sculpt the brain using Play-Doh as a way to understand and connect with how different regions function. We’ll also explore the role of color in mood and expression with a second creative exercise that taps into how your brain and emotions respond to visual input.
No art skills are required—just a willingness to play.

🌬️ Breathwork: Resetting from the Inside Out
Breath is the fastest way to shift your state—and we often forget how powerful it really is. With gentle, guided breathwork, we’ll calm the overactive nervous system and create space for clarity and balance.
And, breathing deeply, especially in specific patterns, stimulates the vagus nerve—the major nerve pathway connecting the brain to the body. This stimulation signals your system to relax, lowering your heart rate, reducing anxiety, and even improving digestion.
You’ll leave with simple breath techniques you can take home and use whenever life feels overwhelming.

- A warm, welcoming environment led by Sarah Patterson, a Certified Expressive Arts Practitioner with a master’s in Mental Health & Wellness and a background in family dynamics and health coaching
- Sculpting a model of the brain using Play-Doh—learning through touch and creativity
